Smart PDU Power Distribution Unit Outlet Metered and Managed Network Grade PDU
Unique-Tel's Smart PDU includes following types,
Input Metered PDU-Provides whole capacity consumed for whole PDU.
Outlet Metered PDU-Provides capacity consumed for each outlet.
Monitered PDU-Monitering whole PDU data.

Introduction
In addition to delivering electrical power, metered rack PDUs provide information about the power that is being consumed. It may be as simple as the voltage and the power being consumed by the PDU in total or it may provide much more power information and breakdown that information by each individual outlet. There is a wide range of PDUs that could fall under the description of a metered PDU.
The metered PDU's with local input current meter allow network engineers to utilize the PDU's True RMS power monitor to precisely measure the current (in A) that the IT devices are drawing from the power circuit. This allowing the engineer to load each circuit to its maximum capacity without the danger of overloading causing possible failure.
